Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Severin Sea Lodge meets the requirements of ecological tourism and has developed an award-winning environmental protection programme. The hotel was the first in Kenya to install a biological treatment plant and integrated solar technology, photovoltaics, and a seawater desalination plant into its infrastructure. We also support the orphanage Mji Wa Salama to improve the prospects of children in Mombasa.
Severin Sea Lodge operates a Craftsman Training Centre as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The centre offers hands-on training in electrical, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, and metalwork. Students sit for Ministry of Education certification exams at a TVET Centre, preparing them for employment or self-employment across the Coastal region and Kenya.
